TEN YEAR REPORT AND NEW HOUSING PROGRAM, Plus the new Mission Trip Planning Guide!!!

Children of the Dump is now preparing a ten (10) year report, which we plan to issue by the end of the year, preparation of this report has caused us to revise how we have been doing business.  We have  completed our census of the dump community and have now published our Mission Statement, grant request form and donation procedures on our website.  We sent letters to the local programs we have supported and asking them to make changes in their programs to better serve the children in the dump community. We can report today that they have made substancial progress in correcting the problems we outlined.  Our latest information is that only a few of the dump community children are not now attending the School of Champions based on a report issued by the Dump Community Civil Association undertaken at our request.  In addition, we are putting together an advisory committee to review grant requests and to make recommendation before grants are awarded.  All this will be reported on our website. We are working to make Children of the Dump totally transparent and discussing ways to require the programs we support to be transparent as well. You should see these changes made over the next several months.
